About The Author Horia Kadi
Horia Kadi, a Registered Counsellor, and I've been navigating the diverse and challenging landscapes of the mental health field since 2009. My journey has taken me from working in private practice settings, where I worked intimately with individuals navigating their unique struggles, to under-resourced clinics where I strived to bring quality care despite the constraints.
I've walked the lively hallways of elementary and senior schools, guiding young minds through the complexities of growing up. My path also led me to work with the resilient homeless community, designing group programs that offered support and understanding in their challenging circumstances. And, I've been privileged to deliver psychoeducation workshops to teenage girls in foster care, witnessing their courage and strength firsthand.
Navigating these diverse settings, I've felt the struggles we face as mental health professionals. I've seen the desperate need for resources that truly resonate with our clients.Resources that educate, connect, and create a lasting impact.
